Ashjau's OFM Guide Part 2

This is an extract from the guide I posted on the DEPL message on facebook. However, it is now easier for everybody to access since I am posting it on my blog.

Oh number 6 should be Advanced Tactics, not Tactics since that is number 2. Okay, onto

2: Tactics

There are two categories available in the tactics menu, which are

a: The Style of Play

and

b: Overall Match Tactics

a: The Style of Play

Basically, another name for this is how aggressively you decide to play the game. There are 4 types you can choose from.

Fair: You don't play aggressively at all. Fatigue will be lower, chances of bookings and suspensions go almost to none, and players are highly unlikely to get injured.

Normal: This is very balanced. You don't play too aggressively or too softly either. Of course, fatigue will occur, there are some chances of bookings and suspensions, but the likeliness of players getting injured is low.

Hard: This is an aggressive style of play. Very commonly used, and I have been using this all my time on OFM. Fatigue will occur more than the Normal Style, high chance of getting booked and suspended, and high chance of players getting injured as well. Also, the duration of suspensions and injuries will be higher with this style.

Extreme: The most aggressive style of play available. In my experience, I have used it only a very few exceptional times, mostly for tactical reasons. Fatigue will be VERY high, use it for 2 matches, a lot of players will be already on yellow status. Bookings and suspensions are guaranteed, and the chances of injuries are also very VERY high. The duration of suspensions and injuries will be very long, mind that.

b: Overall Match Tactics

Long Ball: This is a very defensive type of tactic, where you will be supplying to the forwards all the time. In dhivehi, this is what you would call bodu boalha if I am not mistaken.

Passing Game: This is usually an offensive tactic, and can be deployed defensively as well. But it depends on which formation you use it with. A match winner.

Play Wide: An offensive tactic. Possible the most offensive along with passing game in my opinion. Can be used by teams with better squads with offensive formations.

Counterattack: I don't think that a detailed explanation should be given here. This is probably the most defensive formation there is. Pushing from the back while the opponents had a failed attempt at goal. Turn it into an opportunity, and score. Works well with defensive formations.

Shoot on site: Another more defensive formation. However, it can also be made offensive with more midfielders than forwards since everybody would be trying to have a shot on goal. Works well with defensive formations AND offensive formations as well. However, keep in mind that advanced tactics play a big role.

This is an extract from the guide I posted on the DEPL message on facebook. However, it is now easier for everybody to access since I am posting it on my blog.

A New Manager's guide to success on DEPL

By: Ashjau (DEPL Moderator)

Since a lot of people have been asking me for help since the beginning of the league, and since most people are new, I decided to write a little guide to help all of you out. I will be covering the following aspects of OFM and give you some tips from my experience from the last league.

1: Formation
2: Tactics
3: Training Players, Player Levels, Fatigue and Morale
4: Training Camps and Secret Training
5: Finance and Transfers
6: Tactics
7: OFM Tactics
8: Season Tickets
9: Staff
10: DEPL, Disciplinary Committee, Suggestions

1: Formation Guide:

There are currently 12 types of formations available for managers to use, and every formation may have a varied types, like A or B. Every formation differs from one another, and you can use any formation you choose fit for that particular match up. I will go through each formation one by one. Please do remember though that these are my personal opinions, and your views on these formations might differ.

a: 3-2-5

3-2-5 is basically a very offensive formation, for teams with forwards who are on average better than their midfielders. In other situations, you may find yourself with a midfield of lower rated players than another team with a very good midfield. In this case, if you need to just supply the ball to the forward line, and keep on attacking instead of moving the ball around in the midfield, this formation can be very useful. You can use it well with the long ball tactic in most cases.

b: 3-3-4

3-3-4 is also a very offensive formation. It is very similar to the 3-2-5 in one sense, but adds an extra player into the middle, and so reduces the number of players on the front lines. The same situation can apply to 3-3-4 like how it applied to 3-2-5. However, be warned that these formations can be easily broken with players who have good midfielders. In that case, you would have to depend on your tactics and advanced tactics as well.

c: 3-5-2

3-5-2 is a very effective defensive formation. Very similar to the 4-5-1 formation, but instead of 4 defenders, you have 3 and 2 forwards. 3-5-2 can also be employed very effectively as an offensive formation. The tactics you would want to apply to this formation depends on you, but last league, I have used this tactic about 2 times against Real Madrid, used by Abu who had a way better team than mine. I won all encounters with nice scores. However, note that it's not just the formation which played an important role here, but your tactics and advanced tactics do a lot. A good manager can easily break the most defensive formations.

d: 4-2-4

Very similar to 3-2-5, however, you have more defenders here. I have seen this formation employed by Sajeeu in the last league, and he has used it quite effectively against some teams with the long ball tactic. However, again, your advanced tactics and the tactics of your opponent also plays a big role in the deciding factor.

e: 4-3-3

Possibly the most offensive formation among all the available ones. Usually, the best teams can have good results by using this one. I highly recommend them to use it. However, for teams who are weaker, don't use this one against big teams if you are unsure about tactics which can 100% beat the opponent. In most cases, big teams can beat teams using 4-3-3 who are weaker pretty easily. However, if you are using it against a team on the same level as you, its a pretty good formation to use, and with the passing game or play wide tactics, you have a pretty good chance of winning.

f: 4-4-2

To me, 4-4-2 is the most balanced formation, where there is a good amount of defenders, midfielders and forwards. You can probably use almost all tactics with this formation because there is a good balance here. However, tactics should vary with opponents since you never know what their advanced tactics would be like. Very good to use against teams who are too defensive, like the 4-5-1 formation. Again, that is only if you know what you are doing. I recommend trying this formation for offensive, defensive and balanced situations.

g: 4-5-1

I have to talk more about this formation since a lot of people use it. Is it a defensive formation? Yes, it is, but I think that it is more of an offensive formation than a defensive one because there are 5 midfielders ready to attack. Can be used with several tactics, and can have very good results. Last league, I barely used it since I never did really play defensively, but this league, I have used it once, in the match against Manchester United. It was an easy win of 6-1. However, do note that even Samih used the 4-5-1 in the match against me, so it does actually depend on your advanced tactics if you are going to win. Works very well against formations which are too offensive like the 4-3-3 or 4-2-4 since your midfield would dominate. However, there are many managers who know how to counter the 4-5-1 with 4-3-3 tactic, and by all means it is not that hard if you have a good squad. Works best if you have good midfielders, and if you decide to play defensively. Many have asked me how to break a 4-5-1 tactic. I won't tell you :P

h: 5-2-3

I have never really used this formation before. However, it comes to me as more of a defensive formation rather than one very offensive. However, I think it can work very well if you are planning on counter-attacking or long balls, since most of what you are doing would be defending and trying to send the ball to your forwards. Suggested for weaker teams. However, of all the times I have seen managers use this formation with bad tactics, they have suffered terrible defeats. So use it wisely at the best moment.

i: 5-3-2

Read up on my 5-2-3 formation. This is just another version where, you basically have added more midfielders. However, I have to note that this is one of the most defensive formations in OFM at your disposal. You can use it very effectively against teams you have no hope of winning against. However, I would recommend 3-5-2 or 4-5-1 as better defensive formations. Where you have no hope though, try with good tactics, you can actually pull off pretty good upsets.

j: 5-4-1

A way better formation than 5-3-2, and can work as well as the 4-5-1 in my experience. I have seen people successfully use this against the most offensive formations. Also, this is amongst the best defensive formations on OFM I have farby seen. However, again, you should only use it with the best tactics. Then you can use it in the best way possible. Also, trying this one against people who play too defensively also sometimes work very well.

k: 6-3-1

All I have to say is, when you run out of ideas, have lost all hope, and fear your opponent to the extent you're gonna wet yourself and have nightmares, then you use this. Officially THE most defensive formation there is while 4-3-3 is the most offensive one.

l: 3-4-3

I forgot about this formation, should have been "c" but nevermind that. I think this is the most offensive formation after 4-3-3. However, in return for losing one defender, you add in a midfielder. Can be used effectively with the same tactic you use with 4-3-3, but with some changes to the advanced tactics if you want. Can be used against defensive tactics just like 4-3-3, but you still will find it hard to beat people who are playing way too defensively. But not that it is impossible, it is very much possible.

Response to Passion Magazine: Why Men Cheat.

Heard of the magazine? Its some new lifestyle magazine which was released VERY recently. And there was an article which supposedly would find reasons why men cheat on women. I found that article to be pure bullshit. And for good reason too.

First of all, I had the feeling that the writer was not writing, but ranting. Ranting about men, to the extent that if I were an alien species reading it, I would think that men are evil demonic creatures bent on using women for their own evil needs. However, this is not surprising. Why? Because a lot of female writers who write about such issues, or even ones who write on their blogs about their own experiences are just ranting. There is absolutely no serious thinking done, but instead, its more of something like "I hate all men. They lie and cheat....(several rants later) and this is why men cheat".

One thing I know for sure is, those women or girls are epic failures. Why? Because they couldn't recognize that for relationships to be successful, success comes from both sides, and if that dual success does exist, most men wouldn't cheat. Let's move on to some of the reasons I can think for this, easy but sometimes confusing question.

I just bought a Pentium 3 computer. I love this computer. It has everything I wanted. Of course, there are others around, but I would stick with this one. However, a couple of weeks later, I felt that, this computer has slowed down, or IS slowing down. It doesn't fuction as it used to when I first bought it. But still, usage is good. Then, I tried out this new Core i7 back at a friend's house. It was awesome. Way better than the old Pentium 3. So, why exactly am I still using the Pentium 3? I could have been satisfied if it was consistent, but it's not, and I would now prefer the better Core i7. -takes out bat, smashes the Pentium 3 into smithereens, and buys a new Core i7-

You see where I am heading with that little story? There are several things to be noted here. First of all, people, men, women...aliens....they all do get bored. But that doesn't mean that the boredom should always stay. There is prevention, and there is even a cure. However, when a woman fails to recognize this and thinks everything is fine, or, that the man can never possibly go for another person, she should really slap herself and think again. Why? Because she is getting dumped, all too soon, and I will be there, silently laughing to myself while taking down notes.

Well, that's something which can come ordinarily. However, lets move on to the other, more confusing aspects. Some men, I have noticed are a bit primitive, like cavemen. They want to mate more females, and it gives them some sort of....male dominance vibe or whatever you might call it. Yes, all men do have a sense of pride, but in some, this pride, is just too high. And here is when the problem arises. Most of the time, the idiots who go with these sort of men, will be used, manipulated, and what not, and the very idiotic girls will NEVER even know until it is too late. But then, they will be crying or whatever asking themselves "Why did mister X cheat?"

-slap- He was cheating on you the day you found out his name.

Another reason I can come up with is, the problem you would find in women themselves. Being annoying, and a huge burden on a partner, WILL lead men to cheat. So in a way, women are sometimes the big cause, but by all means, they never know this and try to blame it on some unknown cause which would stay unknown until Earth gets hit by a huge meteorite and wipes out the human race. Relationships need compromise, but why can't some women totally get that? Change yourselves for the sake of something even better. But noooo. We are too perfect for that, says this very dumb female human test subject. But seriously, when a man or boy or whatever finds that the women they originally liked have started to annoy or frustrate them, there comes a big reason for them to cheat. Cheating rids of them of this frustration, something more like, a cleansing phase. Believe it or not, this does happen, and you most probably know it too.

So in the end, there ARE reasons, and there are reasons for these reasons as well. People just don't cheat. A man might not go on with Megan Fox even if he had the chance if he's more than happy with his current wife or girlfriend, no matter how much better Megan Fox might look. So, instead of ranting your ass off about how you got hurt or whatever, try to find reasons.

Just managed to find myself a good enough layout, although it took away my banner. Ah well, atleast the name of the blog appears, unlike some other....layouts available on the web. Anyways, I have some interesting stuff coming up today.

"I Don't Know Why"

Today I stumbled upon this text on some very random website I found while searching for inspirational quotes. I usually don't really like pasting texts I find randomly, but this one, I thought was made very special by whoever the writer was, and it has a LOT of messages that can be made use of in life. Enjoy!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

10th grade

As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called "best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair, and wished she was mine. But she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

11th grade
The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broke her heart. She asked me to come over because she didn't want to be alone, so I did. As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie, and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep. She looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Senior year
The day before prom she walked to my locker. My date is sick" she said; he's not going to go well, I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". So we did. Prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step. I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal eyes. I want her to be mine, but she isn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Graduation Day
A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat, and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "you're my best friend, thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

A Few Years Later
Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do" and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't see me like that, and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said "you came!". She said "thanks" and kissed me on the cheek. I want to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love her but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why.

Funeral
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read: I stare at him wishing he was mine, but he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends, I love him but I'm just too shy, and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me! `I wish I did too...` I thought to my self, and I cried.

The Balrog's MUST WATCH Top 5 series.

Ok, recently, and on some other past several occasions, people have been asking me for suggestions in terms of what to watch. I have my own personal tastes in choosing TV series to watch, but seriously, I do think you might find my suggestions pretty useful. And DON'T ask me if I have the following series with me, because I really don't, except maybe one or two. I don't like keeping files for too long, I just like being updated with new stuff. Ok, here goes nothing.

#1: Friends (1994)

It's almost hard to believe that in 2014, it will mark the 20th anniversary of this show which has captured the hearts of people for so many years. This people, is what I consider as the currently THE best show I have ever watched. I remember hearing when "Friends" was the new awesome show airing on TVM when I was small. I never knew what it was about, nor did I care, because I had more
important things to do...like G.I Joe. Not the movie, the REAL action figures. But years later, I got my hands on the 10 seasons Friends brought us, and I didn't stop watching it until I got to the end. And by all means, it was a blast. Hilarious, filled with happy and sad moments, and full of life's greatest stories revolving around six very awesome characters. At the end, you almost feel as if you become part of the group, to the extent I was very disappointed when I reached the final episode. No similar series I have watched matches what this has brought to it's viewers, and this is still the reason why this show is still popular among many. Contains 10 seasons, started in 1994, and ended in 2004.

2# Dexter (2006)

A series I downloaded off the internet, because I was bored. Now I think to myself, HOW could I have been more luckier to get my hands on the series which is gonna be my favourite after Friends? For starters, Dexter Morgan, is a serial killer. He is also part of Miami Metro. Now, that might confuse people, but believe me, this series is worth thrills you will never forget. The series revolves around this serial killer figure, with him narrating a lot of the storyline (which I enjoy a lot, as much as I enjoy mockumentaries) It involves finding his past, his kill techniques, and how he covers up all his killings. Oh, and he does that pretty well. The story is very clever, actors are top-notch and yes, there's a lot of action, guns, chase scenes,
mysteries, comedy, romance, hot girls...to the extent the only thing really missing might be exotic cars. Currently, there are 4 seasons, with the 5th season which I am dying for coming up this September. VERY much worth spending your time watching.

#3 Supernatural

Another series which might just catch you off-guard, the same way Friends did. A series, based on the lives of Dean and Sam Winchester, brothers, who's lives are based around the supernatural. At the beginning of the series, the brothers mainly act as hunters, hunting supernatural entities while on pursuit of their missing father. The family has a dark history, and while you might think that this is just some other horrow show...think again. Towards the end of the first season, Supernatural sheds light on bigger issues to the extent that towards the end of season 5, God, Angels, Lucifer, Demons and The Apocalypse, are ALL in the equation. Yes, you do get to see the devil, and damn, he is seriously strong. Takes out a lot of pagan gods in his wrath. Oh yeah, Paris Hilton makes an appearance too, in the form of a Pagan god, whom the brothers eventually...."take down." A series based on family bonds, a lot of action and drama, and a storyline so unique and better than the shitty shows you see on tv these days, you HAVE to watch this.
Currently ends at season 5, season 6 begins this year....godamn it, hurry up and give us the next season already :D

#4 House M.D (2004)

After watching House, I honestly lost ALL interest in any other medical drama/comedy based shows. For good reason too. My medical knowledge, is very very low, and therefore, I had my doubts when I first considered watching house. When I got the first season, I did hear about how popular this series was getting, and how it should be watched. At first, I thought...this must be just like those very boring medical shows. But that changed, big time. House, is simply, an outstanding show. The main character, Greg House, WILL become your favourite tv character if you really like this show. The guy is just, hilarious. Basically, House is a very smart and a unique doctor, who treats patients whom other doctors couldn't. His team consists of the show's other characters, and they play a huge role in making the show what it is, putting aside House. This though, is not only based on just the drama and mysteries coming along with patients. Drama is presented by the patients themselves, the doctors, and the whole hospital for that matter. You do get to see comedy, romance, tragedy, a lot of drama and a lot of mystery. And yes, almost all the female doctors in the show are pretty hot. Do check out Thirteen (2nd from the right in the picture haha) But seriously, this show is beyond words, with the 6th season being the latest blowing your mind away. The 7th season premiers this month, and I can't wait for it!

#5 How I met your mother (2005)

I am currently very sick of people who compare HIMYM to Friends. They simply just cannot be compared. This show, is VERY different from Friends, and brings you a whole different twist. And by all means, I love that twist. HIMYM, is already one of the most popular shows today. It is funny, has all the drama, the storyline is well-written, and its just very clever too. The characters all have their unique backgrounds, and the acting, especially by the all-so-famous Neil Patrick Harris is now a worldwide hit. Revolving around a character named Ted, and his bunch of friends, the series focuses mainly on their lives and their journey to find the right person, with the exception of two who found each other....a VERY long time ago. HIMYM like many other shows, starts off slowly, and becomes really good as each season passes. The previous season 5, was very entertaining, and most of all, hilarious. Contrary to the name, they haven't really shown the mother yet, although everybody hopes to see her soon. Maybe that's a downside, but still, it keeps the series going. Full of life stories and humor, How I met your mother is seriously worth the watch. Season 6 which I am eagerly waiting for begins in September.

Well, that is actually it. Hope you like my suggestions, and here are some other shows that I think you might like as well.

My name is Earl.
Prison Break.
Heroes.
The Big Bang Theory
24
Weeds
South Park
Family Guy
Knight Rider (new one)

I am yet to also watch Glee, and see what all the fuss is about.

Brainwashing, at it's best.

Five bucks for the person who recognizes the person above. .......Ah what the hell, that's Yuri, from the Red Alert game series. What's so special about him? Well, he's like this psychic guy who can control minds. And yes, he's very much effective, so much, that he causes the Allies to launch their nuclear missiles. I have to point out that was just through a phone call to an allied soldier. Yes, mind control at its best.

However, today what I am writing about is the mind control which is currently going on, right inside Maldives. I was reading this article over at a Maldivian news website, which seriously brought me to thinking where we were headed. Well, I can kinda make out where we are headed, but as the reader, read that article. Here's the good old link.

Now that you have read it, let me quote something from there.

He urged the audience not to waste time on useless knowledge, and said that sending rocket ships to Mars and getting robots to roam around and dig its soil to find its geological composition was an example of useless knowledge.

This article, is based on that whole quote right there. I was very much not happy with somebody going around saying that such knowledge is "useless" knowledge. The funny thing here is that, this guy, is actually being financed by our government to come and gives these epic speeches to the masses of people. I wonder why? That whole reference of his saying the space program and geology is "useless" knowledge says a lot about the guy.

Let's talk about the space program then. Going to Mars, or the moon, or just going around for orbits in a little space shuttle. It doesn't really matter how you do it. When he said all this was useless knowledge, I wonder how many Maldivians sitting there actually had the brains to question that sentence. The space program has brought us technological advancements beyond a mere Canadian guy's comprehension. Just imagine the advancements in communication it would have had. Imagine the knowledge we gained about the stars, the moon and other planets around us. Astronomers over the centuries only had ideas through their telescopes.

Muslim astronomers were actually one of the most prominent in the golden era. Mostly, they were like the central hub of the world's knowledge. And they were very much advanced in terms of Astronomy. Remember our last president? He was a great astronomy enthusiast as well. I don't know why, people would believe (although they did) such a guy saying that despite all these great researchers and scientists working their asses off about the space program and astronomy, that this is USELESS KNOWLEDGE.

Here's a very simple example. Let me take O Levels here. I actually very much want to specialize in marketing, and the whole concept of market understanding in the future. But this topic of marketing, was only JUST part of what I studied throughout my O Levels. And even that was merely in just one subject, commerce. I did so many other subjects during that time, and I wonder if Math or the remaining parts of the subjects which has nothing to do with Marketing is USELESS KNOWLEDGE.

Now, I took the time to do my own research on this so called Dr.Bilal Philips. The things I found out weren't that good. For one thing, he was denied a VISA into Australia, to give similar sermons. Okay check this out. This guy, has connections with the first World Trade Center bombing incident. Although compared to 9/11 it didn't have much casualties, this one was a major terrorist attack. And the guy our country's government happily gave a VISA to, was part of it. If you don't see the irony in this, then I don't know if you should continue reading this.

He has also been constantly blamed for trying to legalize child abbuse, and been accused of trying to spread radicalism throughout the world, through this version of Islam called Wahhabism, something some random dude called Mohamed bin Abdul Wahhab introduced not more than 2 centuries ago (I am not so sure on the exact time).

Maldivians, whether you like it or not, is getting brainwashed, slowly into following people like this. They have been constantly coming in, and the President uses them as a tool to stay in power. And the people? They are forced to believe in every single word these guys say. I have no doubt, that if Osama bin Laden were to be invited to Maldives, he WILL come, and the masses of people WILL attend his "religious sermon".

The sultan park bombing was just a preview of what is going to happen. So was Himandhoo, and the list will continue. Radicalization is becoming more or less, part of such a rich cultural heritage we have been cherishing for god knows how long. Brainwashing is currently not opposed at all, and questioning the main religious authorities of Maldives (Just like in jolly old Iran....refer to the Iranian theocracy) is like playing with fire. They will label you anything they want, and will harass you in anyway they can. When people choose to ignore things that are clearly right in front of them, these people find it very much easy to control them.

Right now, believe it or not, this is happening. Read about Iran. Read about Afghanistan. Compare their past to after the revolution in Iran or the Taliban rule in Afghanistan. Both countries were rich in culture, heritage, and had a mass of religious people who were peaceful, friendly, and weren't the "anti-west" people they are today. Now, try comparing Maldives to what is happening right now, to it's past. Just go back a mere 10 years. Then, compare what you found out, to what happened to Iran and Afghanistan. I don't even have to say anymore.

At the end of this, all I have to say is, Ignorance is a bliss, ain't it?

Recently, we all heard about the guy who announced that he was a non-muslim. The first time something happened like this in public in Maldives. Somehow, I am not surprised, but what did surprise me, is the reaction from the public.

I will have to also announce that I am no longer proud to be a Maldivian. The reason is what I am basing this whole article on. And it is called intolerance and violent extremism, shown by not just the people who beat up this guy during the Zakir Nike show, but by a majority of the Maldivian public.

I was randomly going around on facebook when I first started seeing how retarded and violent some people are. Hate groups have already been born, with people using terms such as these:

higaa meena rajamkuran..........

maran vee maran vee maran vee maran veee

Believe me, the only ones who commented weren't only deranged men, but weirdly unintelligent women as well. I wonder when we fell to such a state. Out of all these comments, only 5 or more comments involved saying "let's try to give him advice and bring him back". Now, you can imagine how violent people are.

If he is killed, believe me, if he is killed, that marks the end of the road of freedom for Maldives in a lot of ways. Mohamed Nasheed (Anni) can officially say goodbye to that Nobel Prize he wants so much. I never even IMAGINED what kind of people I was living alongside with. People say that something has to happen for your true colours to show, and we are seeing that all too very well right now.

Maldives, even historically, has been known to provide for a people, who were following a great culture and tradition, and were known for their unity, respect to each other and the peace all around. However, I have known for sometime that the "respect" part and the "tolerant" part of that society has been long gone for somewhile. But I always respected that people will not go to an extreme level in terms of violence. Think again. People are calling for a man to be beheaded, or tortured before being killed. And some people, are declaring they want to do it themselves. I wonder what is more wrong here. Him declaring he was not a muslim, or them declaring they would be happy to kill the guy.

Seriously, I am disappointed. I thought people would be saddened and try something good for this guy. Why don't I see this? Why do I see hate groups? Killers? Do Maldivians get some pleasure out of this? Personally, I don't care if half of our population say that they aren't muslims anymore, because then there would be sort of a civil war, and people will realize how bad violence is. As a lot of people I am with say a lot, "How much more emo can you get?" As for Maldivians, I have to say "how much less of a human will you become".

This is probably one of the most enjoyable articles I would have written. Well like I promised earlier, I come to you with The Balrog's Exclusive 10 ways to dump someone. However, I have to give a brief introduction on how things will work here. First of all, all these tips are from stories I have heard, and mostly based on very logical steps. For these 10 ways to work for you, you need to be confident, and you seriously should know how to act and lie. Also, this is not the type of article for the person who just has to tell the truth. Furthermore, please, don't attempt any of these through texts, because that = EPIC FAIL! So, ready to dump that person who you thought at first was awesome, and then faded to a singing chipmunk? Here goes.

#1: The Exam Lie

For this one to work, you have to be somebody who is currently studying. Well, you should be studying something, because exams are going to be what you are going to use to dump the person. First of all, MAKE SURE you don't like the person anymore, and you seriously need to dump her/him. Now, take things a bit slowly, and approach the person. Talk to her (Lemme make the person a her from now on, easier for me :P ) about these imaginary problems you are having with approaching exams. Throw in a couple of bombs from your life, or something you picked out from tv apart from the exams which is making your life a living hell.

Now, once you are sure that the target knows of your problems enough, after days of talking about it, it is time to throw in the fatality! Approach her, and tell her, that you need a "BREAK" from relationships, until you fix your current "problems". "Are you breaking up with me" is the expected question, with an 80% chance of occurring. Say "yes" with this suicidal look, and make the person feel sympathy for you. Well if this all turns out good, finish off with a hug and say that you will contact her when you're done solving your problems. Otherwise, well, take in a lot of yelling, but don't say anything. If you do and argue back, you are actually blowing your cover, and your sympathy card will go to ruins. Now, once you are done with that, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye! Mission Successful!

#2: Kill a family member

Remember the acting and lying skills I said you would need. Well, this one requires it, big time, and that's because you are going to kill of a family member. Well, not kill, but "kill" as in, the person dies. Well, atleast that's what you are going to tell her ;D So first of all, if you think you are going to break up, tell the person on this random day in this random convo that a close family member of yours, is suffering from a "terminal" disease. Be all sad, talk about how close you were and your childhood. A lot of people love hearing about childhood, and by talking about it, you are playing the person right into your masterpiece break up!

Make sure, she doesn't forget this family member. She SHOULD remember! Well then, time to get to the harder part. Now, meet up one day, and tell her that, well, you are getting depressed. The reason? The family member is in the "final stages" of the "disease". Make sure she feels all "aww" for you, and then on one rainy night, send a text, saying, "He/she passed away. I am going to be busy for a while." The plan is in action ladies and gentlemen, be sure you don't screw up! Now, don't contact her for say, 3 or 4 days. Then, contact her. Be warned that there will be some tension now, with all those not replying or not picking up statements. Well, tell her you are breaking up, because "you think you are not ready to be in a devoted relationship right NOW". That NOW refers to the death in your family. Well, how she will handle it, is none of my business, but then again, don't blow your story! Mission Successful!

#3: I hate serious relationships!

No you don't! You just don't like the person who's in front of you right now. And you just need to find somebody else. Why can't she see this ain't working out? Ok, no worries. Here's what you do. Get into this loooong conversation about where she thinks you guys "stand". Make sure that, despite her being all positive, you are being a bit more "realistic" or negative. However, show this only through facial expressions or by using body language. Smile a lot.....awkwardly! And then, finally, one day, tell her that you are not the type of person into serious relationships. Or, just say you don't like commitment or something, you get the picture right? Now, notice the expression on that person's face. Take notes from that. If you think this is the right moment, go for it, and break up. However, if you think she wants to "talk more" and make things better, just wait. Do it maybe 2 days later, saying you seriously can't handle any of it. Now there is a very good breakup! Well done soldier!

#4: The Trip to Yemen (Friends Reference)

Remember the episode in Friends where, Chandler needs to break-up with Janice, and so tells her that he is moving to Yemen forever? Well, this method, is very much based on this, however, a bit modified to suit your needs since you most likely ain't working in a corporate environment suited to find alternatives to oil...right? So, on one dark and gloomy night, call up your girlfriend, whom you just CAN'T stand now! Tell her, that unfortunately, you have to go on this "trip" to -insert country here- for either one of these reasons. 1: Education. 2: Health Care. 3: Parent's changing jobs. 4: Family wants a new scene. Once you are done with that, expect this question. "WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK?". For the love of god, tell her an amount of more than a year or most likely the "I am going there forever" bit. Now, expect the depression from the break up to hit you like a comet. Share a hug, talk about "things will be alright, you will find somebody else" part. Make sure that you seem like the good guy/girl. Make sure you are THE friend to turn to, despite your unfortunate trip to the next galaxy. One big mistake people make in this is, that they wait another couple of days for the real break-up to happen, where you say the "This is over" part. You HAVE to do it on the same day. Do NOT wait, or otherwise, you are screwing this up, big time. Well, for the ones who did this successfully, well done. Mission Successful!

#5: It's not you, it's me!

Contrary to popular belief, this method actually works! However, it doesn't work for a number of reasons, usually in the way you present the whole story of how its not her, but you. This is an easy method, as well a very complicated one, because this one depends on your build-up as well. Now, tell her that this whole thing is not working out for you. Bring on the bits you would say in a typical "it's not you, it's me" type of break-up. Now this is the important part. Your girlfriend will immediately recognize that it is in fact HER that is the problem. Now comes an offering to change. This is almost like getting close to a check-mate on you. Most people would blow this at that very moment, but remember that this is a break-up and not a calling for a change, because this person is NOT "THE PERSON" you want to be with, preferably for the whole of your life. Tell the person, that it's not a good idea that they are together anymore, and that "moving on" is part of the process. Add in the "There is no need for you to change because there will be a lot of people out there who will like you for who you are" bit, which is essential in this sort of break-up. Similar to the other methods, expect depression and if things go well, share a hug and please, hurry back home! Do NOT pick up any calls from her during your way back, and once you are finally there, get your mind off the whole thing. You will be juuuust fine! Well done soldier! You are half-way there!

Well, that's it for part one. I did not want to make it into just one part because otherwise, this will turn out to be just too long. There are two more parts remaining, with the next part explaining the next 5 methods, and the other explaining the essentials before you break-up with a person.

Remember, relationships are good. However, these tips are only for the people who think they did not end up with the right person, and is desperate to get away. Until next time :P -The Balrog-

Reasons why I am a Cule

A lot of you who know me, know for sure how big a fan I am of Futbol Club Barcelona, a spanish football club based in Catalonia. I have been a Cule (That's what the Barcelona fans are called) for as long as I remember. Of course, I used to be a Manchester United fan when I was like 5, but then again, I didn't even know the Spanish League existed.

Now, why would I support this particular Spanish team, when there are options in England, and also in Spain itself, in the form of Real Madrid. The reasons, are many, and I just can't even fit all of them into one single post. I have a connection to Barcelona which I can say is more than what I have to my own National football team. Furthermore, I don't see that changing, because I will stick to this club all the way through success and failure.

When I first heard of Barcelona, it was in the day of the Brazilian Rivaldo, playing in the team. I really didn't have time to get into Spanish football at the time, and plus, the channels in Maldives never aired anything from the La Liga. It was all about the English league, Manchester United, Arsenal etc etc. Yes, boring stuff.

However, it was during the time of Ronaldinho and Deco that I really started supporting Barcelona. They won the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish League under Frank Rijkaard, and seemed very unstoppable. A very bad season followed soon, and then, after major changes, came the era of Josep Guardiola and his new Barcelona generation. That was just in the 2008/2009 season, where this great club, achieved something no other team has ever achieved in the past. Six trophies, in all competitions, in one season.

Joy, joy joy! But then again, why this club? FC Barcelona, ever since being founded by Joan Gamper in 1899, has become THE club, with the most culture in it. Cules have a special way for doing everything, and the support and attachment they show to their team, inside the Camp Nou, Europe's biggest stadium to all around the world, cannot be matched by ANY teams I have seen so far. How dedicated are they?! Every big match comes like a festival to the Cules lucky enough to be living in Barcelona. They celebrate, despite winning or losing, and never give up their hopes on the team.

This club, is also owned and run by the cules themselves. This is a very unfamiliar aspect seen in most English clubs, usually owned by multi-billionares. However, it is to be noted that the club, is actually the second richest club in world, closely following behind Real Madrid.

Ever heard of the Tiki Taka style of football? Every wondered why Barcelona boasts an amazing 70-80% ball possession against almost ANY opposition? Yes, that is because of this style of football, incorporated into the Barcelona players coming out of La Masia, their main facility for training youngsters. Furthermore, this is exactly why everybody agrees that Barcelona plays the most beautiful football, in the world.

The club is also famous for having a majority of Catalan players. This is a fact that can make every Cule happy, since most big clubs depend on imported players. Barca on the otherhand, uses players whom they trained in their academy, and most of them are Catalan. Their youth policies are one of the most successful in the world, and have produced amazing players like Lionel Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Cesc Fabregas and Victor Valdes. Again, a reason to be proud of this very amazing club!

Let's not forget the coach here. Pep Guardiola, just 39, is an amazing person. Humble, intelligent and hard-working, he has proven himself to be one of the elites in the world with just ONE SEASON! 6 titles, and he did it by beating big clubs, like Real Madrid, Lyon, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United! And he still is all humble and very respectful to his rivals, anywhere and everywhere. Like Luca Toni said, Guardiola taught him that to be a great champion, you have to be a great person.

The club's motto says "Mes que un club", which means More than just a club! I have taken this motto to heart, and year after year, FC Barcelona keeps on proving how true of a statement it is.

It's been sometime since I have wanted to write about this, somewhere, anywhere I could find. A lot of people usually disagree with me on this, but I have always, ALWAYS stood by the fact that, love is nothing, but just a mere chemical reaction. My view on it was that, animals and us, we are not that really different. Lions find the best mate, and has babies. If the lioness had babies from another lion, the current father kills all these babies. Only HIS babies can stay alive. Us? Different? No way!

I think I will divide this article into different sections before proceeding. One section, dealing with emotions, the other dealing with appearance and attractions, and the final, mating and failing emotions. Now, let's drive that nice looking car into the first section. Only $300,000+ cars allowed, or in other words, read this, ONLY if you want to, not if you believe that love cannot be defined, its a magical emotion, blah blah!

Section 1: Emotions leading to love

I think, most of you who will most likely read this would have had a taste of what being in love would feel like. It is very weird! Your Oxytocin levels have just reached....a very high level. You so want that person. You really do. To me, that giraffe also wants that good looking female giraffe! Only that, he just wants to mate, nothing else. Human beings on the other hand, or US, we just THINK that we are in love or want to spend time together. However, in reality, we just found somebody, that to the human brain, is a very much of a potential mate. And why?

You see, even us humans need to survive the harsh planet called Earth. We need our population to grow, so as to make sure that our species survive. Well, I think we will never run out of Indians or the Chinese, but still, this is almost as if its programmed into a microchip into our brains. However, most of us, never ever realize this. We just think that, we are in love!

So, then comes the part where you get dumped. Sorry, I will have to laugh at you on that matter (On the side note, I'm planning to write something funny on breakups, with some tactics to help people out ;D ) Most people usually get dumped, due to their personalities or actions. Then again, people tell you, that, they are not in love anymore, due to this and that happening. In reality, it's more like you discovering that your potential partner, with whom you wanted to ensure the passing of your genes onto a newborn, was not really THE potential partner. The moment this hits you, you lose interest. Or better, your brain seriously loses interest, and you just want that person to go away! Emotions have failed.

Same with animals? I don't know, since we haven't really discovered a way to find out their emotions, yet. But what I do know is that, a lot of them do have more than one partner, but that is not really related, is it?

Section 2: Appearance, attraction and sexual appeal

This section is one very important factor in determining that love is nothing but a chemical reaction, going on inside us. So, good looking people, hot people, sexy people, what's this really about? Let's take this from outside the box, starting with the males. This deals with mostly dominance, pride and power.

The proud leader of a pack of lions, roaring into the morning sky of the savanna. There are three young other lions approaching, and they do not like this leader. The leader, is the only one mating at this time, and he does not want his babies to get killed either. So, he roars, claw and fights of these three youngsters, and sends them running, in both fear, and in search for another pack. The alpha lion has won, and has proven his dominance over all others. The lionesses just love him! They get protection for themselves and for the cubs as well.

See where I am going with this? Why do female humans get attracted towards males with larger muscles or just people who look like they can dominate other males. Protection, for both her (considering her as his potential mate) and her future offspring. Why do females just can't usually resist the rich males? Power and dominance, over other males. Even that serves as a guarantee!

Now let's take a look at females. On a modern males viewpoint, he is attracted towards females with larger breasts. Wonder why? Because in reality, his brain tells him that, this potential mate, can nurse his offspring better. Better mate? Certainly! Good for the babies? Sure! Then comes larger buttocks and hips. Modern males have a thing for them too right? Well, this should be mainly because of the brain convincing him that the woman will have easier childbirth, and the chances of the babies surviving this process are higher than other mates. Makes sense? Well to me it does. I also read that women dress their best when they are at the peak of fertility. Again, the question of being attracted, or incidentally falling in love is answered.

Section 3: Mating and Failing Emotions/Love

Love is best at the beginning. This is a known fact. After a while, things slow down, and your previously very attractive and potential mate, becomes boring, and seems like a repeating person. Explains all the mid-marriage problems, usually. After mating, it is true that love grows stronger because of the offspring or the baby/babies. However, we have to wonder, is it really your mate, or does another form of love arise? This time, it's not for your mate, but this time, its for the baby. You become very attached to the baby, and now, you possess something called family love.

However, what most people don't realize is that, the frustrations you are getting without even realizing it from your mate are being hidden by the family love. You want your mate, and your offspring to stay, and to be protected. That ensures that your genes are passed on. That ensures, that you have done the job of continuity of human species. At this point, the love you previously had for your partner is really gone. And the normal sex, doesn't really liven it up either. It becomes more of the usual routine of having your mate happy, and ensuring good health, physically, and emotionally as well.

That's it for my article. Hope it got you thinking. So next time you fall in love, ask yourself, is it just me, or has my brain just found a potential "mate". :P

Pills for the win?

The mention of the word pills usually takes us in a very wrong direction. Yes, LSD and stuff like that. But I am not really into covering that, since it is covered almost everyday in a different form. The pill theory, which is what my topic for today, is my main concern. And so, WHAT is the pill theory?

Well, it's something that most of us have heard of in fiction, and maybe it's going to be become fact sooner or later into the future. Pills, being substituted for the usual courses of food we consume daily. People have very different names for it. Survival pills, nutrient pills, and so on and on the names go. But it is very common for us to see in these space sagas, when the commander hands the main character a canister of pills and goes "One of these per day is good enough." Or in other circumstances, the pill is being shown as being used for everyday life, without it being much too special. Yes, you find the pill on your plate in the morning, and that's what you have throughout your entire day.

Now maybe, it is going a bit too overboard. However, this is without a doubt possible, and let's face it, we have let go of a lot of things we used to do in the past. Nowadays, we don't even have to walk towards a switch on the wall to turn on most fans! Yes, the heavenly remote!

So why not let go of eating? Saves our time, we get the optimum nutrients to keep us healthy, and no more cheeseburgers to make people fat. Seems like a very bright idea! Plus, this can be actually practical, because imagine the work load on people twenty years from now, if this is what we are facing today. Yes, that is a lot of human effort being used.

Here is one scenario, depicted in one of my favourite animes, popularly known as Naruto. So, Naruto is in battle with a guy called Kiba, who has attributes of a dog/wolf. He owns one puppy called Akamaru, and while they are fighting, he decides to give Akamaru a pill called the Soldier Pill, if I recall the name correctly. One of the spectators point out that the pill can make a soldier fight three days and three nights without rest. Naruto complains about this, but the tactic remains legal, and once Akamaru takes the pill, he turns from cute puppy to ravage beast! Very interesting. Possible? I don't know!
What I am thinking is that, maybe in the future space age, these pills might be our daily food supply. However, I cannot imagine us giving up the art of cooking or simply put, delicious food itself. No more steak, eggs, burgers, fries, ice cream or anything for that matter. Its just the pill. The pill on your plate. There shouldn't even be a plate! In this sense, I am very against it!

But then, I started thinking about the pill in a very different way. One of the problems the world is facing nowadays is hunger. These pills, in the future, if are to be mass produced, can easily take care of this problem, while assuring malnutrition would also be eliminated. The pills will be very easy to distribute, and can all in all, take care of the hunger problem forever! You hungry? Go get yourself a pill! Then, stay full for a very long time!

I know this is a very, weird topic for me to talk about. Then again, out of this blog, you can expect such things. So, I have to say in the end, it is very much upto us to decide if we are going to go on with the pills, or say no to them. It's either the pills, or traditional food. I take traditional food!

New poll up!

Just added a random new poll for the lulz and a bit of fun :D

Everybody is different. That's why the world is such a great place! Some of you might disagree. You just want to meet that perfect match for you! Urgh, like an opposite sex twin? Oh no, that is boring, atleast for me it is. My view on people is very different. I view people as a bit of a challenge. You can specially see this on social networking sites like Facebook, where the most random person can be seemingly a very interesting person with the weirdest status update. Again, that's is for me, atleast.

So the topic for today will be, my obsession with knowing people. By knowing, you might be actually misunderstanding what I am saying here. Knowing means, REALLY identifying what a person is like. This might take a matter of several minutes to several years. Overall, it is, very tempting, irresistible and very challenging. Three words which I can never live without!

Over the past years of my life, I have met so many people, who are so very different. I specially love meeting and knowing people from places all over the world. It is a journey, believe me. It's almost like they have this infection of carrying around their culture with them. This culture, changes with personality, and that defines your own culture.

I love people who are different. Different is contrary to popular belief, better than being normal. I usually can identify what kind of person you are, few minutes into socializing, although the times I have actually slapped the whole, "you are "insert type here" of a person" into their faces have received mixed reactions. I don't really recall why I actually do that sometimes, but usually, I just need THE reaction. That particular reaction acts as a bit of a confirmation. Most people don't even realize who they are, unless you tell them. Yes, nobody is perfect, that is very true.

I remember once, when I was having this random convo with a friend of mine, and after talking, I suddenly discovered her personality weakness (according to me atleast!), and decided I would say it. I did, and the reaction was one of the worst! Yes, there was the very upset face, and the saying of "that is very rude and so not true" part. Well, get this, others are like mirrors to that personal culture I was mentioning before. You will define it, but you can never realize how you are defining it until somebody tells you.

In the end, this is a bit of an obsession for me. I usually never really tell others what kind of person they are, until I feel the conversation or relationship is going towards a very interesting, different and amazing way or when it's just going nowhere. Sometimes, its just telling a person how great and different they are, and otherwise, its just telling them how crazy or ungrateful they are. The reactions? A smile or a smirk or whatever. Priceless, especially those heart warming smiles. However, maybe that won't be so unless you slap the person's weaknesses into their faces and tell them to deal with it (yes, now you can lol). Either way, I am obsessed with this, and I have to tell you, it is great! To be able to know what a person is like, even when they deny it, is amazing! By deny, I mean even when you tell them how interesting they are!

Well this post told the reader a lot about me as well. Yeah, you can be my mirror now haha!

Alright, now it has been sometime since I last wrote an article. But my constant time looking outside a van's window while coming back to school after watching Iron Man 2 (was great, best movie this year so far!), my insane mind gave me so many ideas. Well, that's about when I realized that I have to write about our most precious possession, and the one which we are losing, at a very fast rate.

What I am talking about here is called Humanity. Yes, a characteristic that every human being was, in truth, born with. We have all seen or heard about people suffering from inhumane acts, around the world, here in Maldives etc etc. However, being the very "I love asking questions" type of person, I wonder WHY they are all happening. Let's take an example, bit closer to home.

Now, it is a very well known fact that racism is in fact very prevalent in Maldives. But wait, there's only one race in Maldives, right? Yes, that is true, but I am not talking about racism within Maldivians. What I am talking about here is the racism towards Bangladeshis. Honestly speaking, most of us have up till now, failed to realize that they are also human beings. Without realizing it, we just lost our humanity. The amount of stories about violence and abuse towards them is laughable, because of the size of the country itself.

In the outside world, this is even more disastrous as people keep on doing inhumane acts, every minute of every hour. However, a very important fact here is that, if the level of humanity that we want in every person (the optimum or maximum level) exists in every human being, then crime won't in reality exist. Poverty and orphans won't exist. Who would want to rob? Who would willingly take a gun and shoot at another? Who would just throw away their loved ones to beg for food? Nobody!

Recently, I watched this movie called District 9, and I suggest it to everybody who wants to explore the question of losing humanity in all of us. In the movie, the main actor, gains more humanity as he loses more of his human self. Now there is something very interesting!

In reality, I still don't know why humans, well, most of them HAVE in fact lost everything inside them called humanity. Maybe that part of you kicks in at the extremes, but that usually just never happens does it? Somehow, we are losing the most precious item that we own, without us even knowing it. What a way to be robbed!

Look at the size of that island. Hard to believe that this is where a whole country in run from, and a majority of people live here. By any standards, thats a lot of people and power coming from one little island.

Now, almost all the politics which goes on around the country all are mainly generated from here. The president, the Majlis, they all are here. Going on about what should be done and what shouldn't. On the other hand, opposition tries to make sure that in the image of the people, the president and the current government are the devil and his henchmen. Typical isn't it.

However, the country does possess a lot of culture, both in tradition and in the way people live. Over the past years, of course, it changed, and it has brought more awareness and understanding of events to the people. When people say that Maldivians are now much more politically aware, I have to agree. They are aware.

Remember that phrase from Spiderman? "With great power comes great responsibility." Well, we the people, voted for the people currently running the country. By we, I don't include myself since I couldn't vote back then. So, basically, what I am trying to imply here is, the recent "fight" as we all love to call it, which went on in the battlefield of the Majlis, is our responsibility.

Let me go into what I heard from people on how this fight erupted. One member belonging to the opposition, said something to a member of the party in power (Opposition regards him as a traitor...I say the opposition are losers for saying that...seriously), and patted his back. Although the video on haveeru.com didn't work, I know how quickly the reaction from other members would be. Yes, we are talking about light speed here. That IS pretty fast!

I have read and heard about some peoples' opinions on this particular issue, and one of those opinions was that, since this country is becoming more democratic, these things happening is very normal. Then they point out examples in contrary, mainly India, as it is a seriously huge democratic country. That is true to some extent, as on youtube, you can see fights like this from all over the world. Normal, isn't it?

However, I go back to that, "we have a culture and tradition" part of my post. That culture and tradition, does not or will not agree with what went on that day. A majority of people usually will blame different parties for this issue, while others will point out faults of individuals, and suddenly, people like the president or a random judge comes into light. Another group of people will point out their faults in a different approach, mainly their discipline and reputation among people.

I think that that is exactly what these members showed us that day. They showed us, what they are really capable of. How much of a reputation they have, and how much of true "I work for the good of people" individuals they are. I feel that a lot of members who participated in this brawl, wanted to show everybody watching on television all around the nation, "what they are capable of." Even if they didn't deliberately feel it, or fully feel it, a part of them must have felt it IMO.

Again, it comes to the responsibility of us. Why did we vote for these people? To promote a particular party will be, usually the main answer. However, I always used to think that there are very young, free thinking and intelligent members among the newly-elect. A week later after they got their 60 something thousand rufiyaa jobs, my opinion of this changed. They were young, yes. Free thinking and intelligent, not really. They were working for the good of their own party, and to frustrate the others inside the Majlis. Their intelligence, is that of people who are like, owners to them. To me, they are all running towards the thinking of either just one or two people who lead their own parties.

I have to point out though, such clueless people are going to end up doing nothing. There is nobody in that Majlis, whom I can really trust with voicing out my opinion. Wait, when have they ever voiced out anybody's opinion. I hear them talking about building habours in some random island, and suddenly, everyone realizes that this person is trying not to point out the difficulties the inhabitants are facing due to lack of one, but he is trying to point out what the previous government failed to do. Also, this doesn't come as criticism, it comes as insults.

What we need now, in such a small country, desperately grasping onto whatever culture it has left, including the language, are intelligent, free-thinking youth, who will move forward to make this failing, yes, failing country something better for everyone. Not under the influence of a party, who just exist for the sake of insulting another party, but under their own influence, that some action needs to be taken, and taken fast, because a 350000 population is currently on a sinking boat.

Maybe such a day would never come, but hoping is what everybody can do. Even the ones like me, who think that there is not much hope left, for a blinded political battlefield.

I wonder if many of you have heard of the recent earthquake in Haiti. Well I have, and believe me, it wasn't one of those normal earthquakes. This one killed, almost as much as the entire Maldivian population itself. Now, the school in which I study actually raised funds to help out the victims, and over the days, I have seen a lot of popular websites promoting help funds run by different organizations, most notably, the Red Cross.

Now, I saw this picture on a blog, and I was very deeply offended. As a human being, and as a person who doesn't want some random ideas like this representing the opinion of every single Maldivian out there.

Are we seriously supposed to believe what the so-called Islamic Ministry has to say about such a tragedy. I was always under the impression that our religion, Islam was a peaceful religion, where people are supposed to help each other during harsh times and incidents like this. Yet, the people who run that particular ministry and that website, decided to label the victims as a very bad people, who "deserved" what was coming to them.

I want to laugh at that. Seriously, is this how the Maldivian government actually looks at major international incidents which takes away thousands of lives? Are we seriously represented by the voice of, one single Ministry? What kind of heartless human beings are they? We are talking about millions of lives here, and yet, you want to label them as "deserving" punishment in this form.

Let me emphasize on the punishment part. If our government thinks that Haitians deserved this, because they are "sinners", what about the rest of the world? I don't see our country with 100% nice people. No, I see thieves, rapists, child molesters and murderers. I wonder why our country is not getting hit by tsunamis every week! If thats what these heartless idiots think, then we SHOULD be getting hit by tsunamis almost everyday, until every single one of us is dead, except the "undeserving", whom most likely would be regarded as themselves.

Think about it. In their context, the Jews of Israel are the worst people out there. Shouldn't they be hit by earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes until they are destroyed fully? This was a very sad incident indeed, and Haitians were very unlucky. I call upon those bastards who run this ministry, to go onto Wikipedia, and read about geology, and how the earth is still active in that manner. Oh yeah, I am sure that the 2004 tsunami was because, "we are a bad people" or we are "sinners".

First of all, have a bit of respect for humanity, before blaming others and laughing at their misery!

Recently I heard that the current government has started to keep tabs on Maldivian bloggers. By government, I mean the police, well, which is under the government. Funny thing is, this gave me a mega boost to start blogging once again, under a new blog, where I will be starring as The Incredible Friendly Neighbourhood Balrog. Yeah!

There are so many things I want to write about on this blog, ranging from funny stuff, to more serious issues that normal people fail to address. Damn you lazy people...wait...it's not about being lazy, its just about being not aware! Well then, start to be more aware, read about stuff, and get more ideas! I will give you some mega boosts on this to-be-very-awesome blog.

If I have failed to mention this, I will now. Most of what will be mentioned are my own ideas and opinions. I will stand strictly by them, whether you might agree or not. Furthermore, I WILL criticize a lot of things, ranging from the funny politicians of our country who seriously deserve a spot on Saturday Night Live to much more simpler stuff. Also I would like to mention here that I don't support any political parties in Maldives, nor do I appreciate anybody in that area.

Also, Cameron's Avatar was the best movie ever created! The Godfather doesn't even come close! Thank You!
